VCHN FACILITIES
To accommodate its growing course offerings, in 2007 Victorian College of Health and Nursing purchased a former Nursing Home at 597-599 Upper Heidelberg Road, Heidelberg Victoria for the purpose of converting this sizable building into a first class health and nursing training facility.

By February 2009, Stage 2 of this conversion process will be completed. Stage 2 will provide a large and excellent Training Centre containing:

Four Classrooms
The College will have four classrooms, ranging in capacity from 16 students to 40 students

Nursing Laboratory
An expanded Nursing Laboratory to enable VCHN’s excellent teaching staff to provide the very best in practical teaching before VCHN students are placed into clinical placement.

Resource Centre and Library
VCHN has a growing Library and Resource Centre where students can find extra resources to help with their learning and chosen career path.

Computer Laboratory
Early in 2009, VCHN plans to complete the installation of a Computer Laboratory to support its students in improving computing and communication skills.

Language Laboratory
Early in 2009, VCHN plans to complete the installation of a Language Laboratory to support its students in improving their English skills.

E-Learning
VCHN will make E-Learning facilities available to all its students from March 2009. The software is currently being installed. E-Learning will assist students to get a fast start to their studies by giving them access to course materials as soon as they enroll. It will also help students learn more about areas they are having trouble understanding, and to catch up on a class that they missed through illness. It is another way that VCHN gives the very best learning environment for its students.

Student Lounge at VCHN
VCHN has a lounge area for students to relax, make a cup of tea or coffee, watch TV, access a computer terminal and talk to their friends.

VCHN STAFF
VCHN prides itself on the high calibre of its teaching and administrative staff.

VCHN teaching staff are highly qualified, four of them having Masters Degrees from Australian Universities, and all have significant practical experience in hospitals in Australia and overseas. The teaching staff come from a range of cultural backgrounds, making them ideally placed to educate both Australian and Overseas Registered Nurses seeking registration in Australia.

Similarly the administrative staff supporting VCHN operations are highly qualified and have a wealth of relevant experience. The Managing Director, Business Manager and Recruitment and Placement Manager have all managed (or are still managing) very successful businesses in Australia or overseas. Two senior administrative staff have extensive experience in University and course administration and accreditation. VCHN administrative staff are friendly, approachable, and helpful to students. They will do their very best to help students overcome any problems or difficulties they may encounter.
